Our Story
Built from a simple conviction.
A goalie mask should feel substantial, from the shell to the steel. That conviction became LGR LeGARDIEN SPORTS.
Our project began in 2021. We brought together classic mask shapes, fiberglass construction, Kevlar reinforcement, a carbon fiber inner finish and TIG reinforced steel cages. Development took us across North America and overseas, with testing in Florida, USA.
The Tank philosophy
Heavy by design. Built with purpose. Our focus is the shell, the reinforcement, the cage and the details that hold the assembly together. We want the construction to speak for itself.
Bullet Tested in the USA
Our development work includes firearms demonstrations involving test specimens, alongside impact work on our cages. Watch the footage and learn what the demonstration shows. The test shown is not a hockey certification or a promise that a mask prevents every injury.
Legends behind the shapes
We secured an exclusive collaboration with Ed Cubberly and an endorsement partnership with Curtis Joseph. These relationships connect the LGR lineup to the people and profiles that helped define a generation of goaltending.
